Heather Albinson is a visual artist, storyteller, and all-around sillyperson.
She is always on the lookout for the next thing to elicit a gasp of delight, or a surprised laugh, or even just an unexpected smile. Heather is a firm believer that there is magic and wonder even in our everyday environments---if only we take a moment to stop and look for it.
Heather has been making art her whole life, and attended the University of Minnesota to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art. She is currently focused on colored pencils, acrylics, and digital drawing.
Her hobbies include long trips to the grocery store for entertainment, trying out local bakeries, and just generally looking around.
Her slightly more important-sounding hobbies include connecting with others about the concept of memory and its link to our senses, collecting books (especially picture books) that celebrate delighting in the world around us, and threading observation, humor, and wondering into her everyday practices.
She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her wife, dog, and two cats in a 1950s rambler that reminds her of her grandparent’s house in all the best ways.
